Education is considered to be one of the most important attainments that a person can have in his life. Education is a means of financing oneself, helping ones family, starting on a chosen career path and being successful on that path. For a lot of people, education means everything. I was reading some “back and forth”  on  Classroom 2.0, a great social network where those in education discuss the impact of Web 2.0 in education. While reading some thoughts, I had stumbled across this interesting video on where the web will be going. While, a little outdated but yet visionary,  I found this video by the Dutch think tank EPN, kind of cool. It got me thinking about where the web has been , where it is now and where it is going.

Blackboards, whiteboards, textbooks and jotters: all objects that wouldn’t look out of place in most traditional school classrooms. With the global technological revolution in full swing, schools perhaps need to look at ways of modernising their set-up.
